Veni Markovski is a pioneer for Internet and information technology from Bulgaria. He is currently ICANN‘s Vice President for Stakeholder Engagement for Russia, The Commonwealth of Independent States, and Eastern Europe. He was a Director on ICANN’s Board from 2006 to 2007. He is also the Owner and CEO of Global Solutions and Consulting, and has provided his expertise to several Bulgarian Parliaments.
In 2003 he ran for mayor of Sofia.

But how do we determine what to pass on, and how do we go about communicating it? Who chooses the message, who receives it, and at what point does the message become accepted? What happens when our understanding changes over time? Are there beliefs that are worth keeping around as “common sense,” and others we should consider letting go?

While living in Buenos Aires Robb Duncan and his wife Violeta became enamored with the tradition of old world gelato. Despite being trained in engineering and software, Robb was inspired to bring a better product than traditional American ice cream back to the States. Using his inexperience to his benefit, Robb embraced innovation and trial and error and opened Dolcezza in 2004. Since then he has “claimed a spot among the country’s top artisanal ice cream makers,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

SUMMER 2012 COLLABORATORS

In the summer of 2012, TableTribes launched a nine week pilot Picnic Series. Starting with a seven-member Planning Committee, we collectively pooled our social resources into an effort that quickly resulted in over 70 Collaborators, 344 attendees (out of a possible 360), over 1000 total subscribers on various digital platforms, and almost 22,000 combined web and Facebook page views.
Social and cultural boundaries break down to form new Tribes as everyone contributes to the conversation as equals. Here are just a few of the people – including leaders in business and government, scientists, educators, writers, musicians, designers, entrepreneurs, chefs, bartenders and other passionate knowledge-seekers – who contributed their unique perspectives to past conversations.
